Ammon; great missionary and defender of King Lamoni's flocks who left the enemy un-armed! | Hey everyone! Sorry I've been flaking on photos and can't write a ton today, I'm working on it! I'll for sure have pictures next week because Jazmin Yanez is getting baptized on Saturday! I'm so excited for her!!! She has more faith than anyone I've ever met, with tons of questions yet enough patience that she saves them all for our Friday afternoon lesson every time, never doubting that we'll have the answer and that it will satisfy her curiosity, confusion, or dilemma. The one crazy story for the week, we went to Los Rancheros for lunch with a member who works there on Thursday (we do every week) and after eating went to the back to go teach Juan Pablo (Diablito Chiquito) like usual. We taught him about Ammon and his story and he even had a toy sword with him to act it out!!! So fun, next the manager apparently wanted to learn about the gospel and we taught the whole staff there about the Restoration!!! So much fun! People are prepared by the Lord everywhere you go! Not much time, but here's the challenge of the week: Read the story of Ammon. That's it! In the Book of Mormon in the book of Alma starting with chapter 17. If you don't have a copy, my awesome mom will put a link to the online version on the church's website right HERE! (Thanks Mom!) Love you all tons! Keep learning and growing! I'll for sure have pictures and more stories next time! All the best, the church is true, and you can know, too! (Haha, that rhymed!) Elder Smith |
