iHola!
I have some Spanish jokes for all you brave souls who dare try to get them...
¿Cuánto leche hace la vaca? ¡MOOOcha!
¿Qué hace el pes? Nada.
I got a group of four other Elders in our Zone, along with myself, and we´re going to get to perform an a cappella version of "Brightly Beams our Father´s Mercy" at one of the large group meetings here before I leave the MTC! When we auditioned, it wasn´t quite where I´d hoped it would be yet (I suppose Ms.
Belnap´s choirs and people like Scott King, Luke Hardy, Braden Ashcraft, Nathan Morris, Jaxson Miller, and Caleb Collier have spoiled me as far as this song´s concerned!), but we decided to try anyway focusing on the message. WOW! We WEREN´T perfect, but the spirit was so strong as we stood as missionaries, called of God, and sang about shining our lights to the "Poor, fainting, struggling seamen" who need the gospel! Im going to film us singing it in our residence hall once for you all and Grandparents (especially Gma Reeder) on that same SD card before mailing it home.
Thank you so much for all the DearElders!!! After almost two weeks and just one check in, I was antsy every day for mail waiting to hear how Taiwan and Japan were! It was worth the wait. I feel so driven, hearing all of the joy that Dad and Mikell were able to spread on their missions, and I just can´t WAIT to start spreading some of that Gospel-joy myself! Now as for all of you, first why is Mason wearing a muscle-T? Really Mason, aren´t you supposed to be a little kid? Where´s this acting like you´re already a teen coming from? You´re growing up SO fast!!! On a week long scout camp alone, travelling the world, I mean you need to slow down so you can be still little when I get back ;D haha! Wow!!! And Marshall, how´s this summer been? By the time you get back from Disneyland, will you have enough air in your lungs to tell me about all your adventures? You must be havin´ a blast!
I have lots of pictures I want to send, but I put my camera in a different building than where I´m typing and didn´t have time to go get it today, but I´ll send lots next week! I love you all so much and am so happy with all the growth you are all striving to have both spiritually and not! Keep looking for opportunities to push yourself and spend your time improving at something eternally significant! Which reminds me, MARSHALL AND MASON!!! As you, Marshall, continue and as you, Mason, begin in a couple years, to attend seminary, work your little tails off learning the references for all the scripture mastery and what each scripture talks about!!! Be able to know those like the back of your hand!!! It will help SO much on your mission because every one you know is a tool the spirit can prompt you to use in a lesson whether you´ve planned on it or not! Better yet, you don´t have to explain ANY of it in the language you still don´t know quite that well! But most importantly, scriptures can add to your arsenal of things to purify your mind and heart (See face2face with Elder and Sister Bednar on lds.org- Popping out dirty sand).
Thank you for all being such great examples and a wonderful family and thank you everyone else who is reading this! I love all of you and so appreciate your love for me! It´s so much easier being gone knowing that back home (which means several places now) all is better off because of it!!! Keep coming unto Christ in a new way each day by following him and his teachings!
¡Os amo!
